Im running Lion and Im trying to uninstall PostgreSQL 9.0.4. Lastly, whats the difference between what we are trying to accomplish with this task versus what postgresapp. This question may look like a duplicate of: How to uninstall postgresql on my Mac (running Snow Leopard) however, there are two major differences. Psql (11.8, server 12.3) WARNING: psql major version 11, server major version 12. ![]() When i run psql I get the following which seems like i have 2 versions? The database has been created, this message will no longer appear Please be aware that the database can take some time to generate once To create the database, run the following command: sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ Uninstall a Tableau Server version Open Control Panel, click Uninstall a program, and locate the version you want to uninstall. Remove the data folder and optionally the log file. ⢠export PATH=$PATH:/Applications/Postgres.app/Contents/Versions/latest/bin Use pgctlcluster stop to stop the cluster.![]() My server is running in the right port, however, i havenât done this other task:Īdd the following line to the end of ~/.bash_profile : I was having the same issue as OP but i was able to figure it out. Perhaps the simplest method is using a single command string entered into the Terminal, just as you run a ruby and curl command in the command line to install Homebrew, you also run a ruby and curl command to uninstall Homebrew from a Mac.
